The TG40 System is based on the standard SBS microplate, providing total compatibility with laboratory equipment such as microscopes or liquid handling systems. The TG40 System has three (3) major components:
- The TG40 Microplate which holds the TG40 inserts, manages the temperatu re control and provides battery power for up to 30 minutes of mobile use.
- The TG40 Docking Station which provides power and a computer interface, through which the plate can be controlled and the batteries charged..
- The TG40 Inserts, which provide disposable wells for protein drops and reagent reservoirs for sitting drop, vapor-phase crystallization experiments.

Because of the unique TG40 Microplate design, the accuracy and integrity of temperatures remain constant throughout the entire experimental procedure, even when the plate is transported to other locations, or moved between lab instruments. The TG40 System is suitable for a wide range of scientific applications.
